Acceptable Use Policy
Soundfox is operated by ZeroEnd Technology AB.
This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) describes what you may and may not do when using Soundfox, provided by ZeroEnd Technology AB (“ZeroEnd”, “Soundfox”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). It supplements, and forms part of, our Terms of Service; words defined there have the same meaning here. If there is any conflict, the Terms of Service prevail. Breaking this AUP can lead to the actions described in Section 13 and in Section 15 of the Terms of Service.
This AUP applies to everyone who uses the Services, including account holders and any Authorised Users. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for ensuring that anyone you allow to use the Services follows this AUP.
1. Use the Services lawfully
You must use the Services only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms and all laws that apply to you. You are responsible for your own conduct and for the content you submit, generate, store, paste, or share using the Services (your Customer Content), and for any consequences of using the output the Services produce.
2. Recording, transcribing and consent
Soundfox turns speech into text. Laws in many countries, states, and regions restrict recording, transcribing, or otherwise processing other people’s voices, conversations, or personal data, and may require the consent of everyone involved (for example, “all-party” or “two-party” consent rules). You are solely responsible for using the Services lawfully, including:
- obtaining any consent required before you dictate, record, or transcribe content that includes other people’s speech or personal data; and
- not using the Services to record, transcribe, monitor, or surveil any person without the consent or legal basis that applies to you.
3. Prohibited content
You must not use the Services to store, generate, submit, or share content that:
- is unlawful, or promotes or facilitates unlawful activity;
- depicts, promotes, or facilitates child sexual abuse or the sexual exploitation of minors;
- incites or threatens violence, or promotes terrorism or violent extremism;
- harasses, bullies, defames, or unlawfully discriminates against, or advocates hatred against, a person or group (including on the basis of a protected characteristic);
- infringes or misappropriates anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or confidentiality rights;
- contains another person’s personal or sensitive data that you have no lawful basis to process; or
- is fraudulent, deceptive, or deliberately misleading.
4. Prohibited conduct: security and integrity
You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:
- breach, disable, or circumvent any security, authentication, rate limit, quota, paywall, or billing measure;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network, or breach any security or authentication, except under a bug-bounty or testing programme we expressly authorise in writing;
- access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Services, or data or accounts that are not yours;
- introduce or distribute malware, or interfere with, overload, disrupt, or degrade the Services, our infrastructure, or other users (for example, by flooding, spamming, or denial-of-service);
- access the Services other than through our supported interfaces, or scrape, crawl, harvest, or create accounts by automated means or in bulk; or
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code, models, weights, or underlying technology, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
5. Prohibited conduct: misuse of AI features
The Services use automated speech recognition and AI models. You must not, and must not allow anyone else to, use the Services or any output:
- to develop, train, or improve a competing AI or machine-learning model, or to build a competing product;
- for any AI practice that is prohibited or restricted under applicable law, including the EU Artificial Intelligence Act — for example, biometric identification or categorisation, emotion recognition, social scoring, predictive policing, or manipulative or exploitative techniques;
- as the sole or decisive basis for a decision that has legal or similarly significant effects on a person — for example, decisions about employment, education, credit, housing, insurance, healthcare, legal rights, public benefits, immigration status, or law-enforcement status — unless you carry out appropriate human review and meet the transparency, assessment, and other obligations the law requires;
- to provide legal, medical, financial, tax, employment, immigration, or other professional advice without review by a qualified professional;
- to create deceptive synthetic content, to impersonate a person or organisation, or to mislead people about whether content is AI-generated where disclosure is required; or
- to present output as approved or verified by us, or as a wholly human-created work where that would be deceptive.
You remain responsible for reviewing output before you rely on it, as described in Section 6 of the Terms of Service.
6. Commercial restrictions
Unless we authorise it in writing, you must not resell, sublicense, rent, or commercially exploit the Services, and you must not buy the Services from anyone other than us or an authorised reseller. Any referral or rewards programme is governed by its own Referral Program Terms; you must not abuse it.
7. Fair use and resource limits
You must not circumvent or attempt to exceed the usage allowances, quotas, or device limits that apply to your plan, and you must not use the Services in a way that places an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our systems. We may apply technical limits and reasonable measures to protect the Services and other users.
8. Export controls and sanctions
You must comply with all applicable export-control and economic-sanctions laws. The Services are not available to, and you may not access or use them (or use them on behalf of anyone), if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or acting for the benefit of a person or entity in a restricted country or territory. Restricted countries currently include Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine (including Crimea and the Donetsk and Luhansk regions), as well as any comprehensively sanctioned or embargoed jurisdiction — currently including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria — or any other country or territory designated as such by the European Union, the United Nations, Sweden, the United Kingdom, or the United States. You also may not use the Services if you are on a restricted-party list, and you must not use a VPN, proxy, false location, or other means to circumvent these restrictions or use the Services for any purpose prohibited by those laws. See Section 2.8 of the Terms of Service for further detail.
9. Third-party services and accounts
When you use the Services with third-party products or accounts, you must comply with those third parties’ terms. You must not use the Services to help anyone breach a third party’s terms or rights.
10. Payment integrity
You must not engage in payment fraud, including using unauthorised or stolen payment methods, submitting illegitimate chargebacks, or otherwise obtaining paid features without paying for them.
11. Your responsibility for Authorised Users
If you allow employees, contractors, or other people to use the Services under your account or organisation, you are responsible for their compliance with this AUP, and any breach by them is treated as a breach by you.
12. Reporting violations
If you become aware of content or conduct that breaches this AUP, please report it through our Report Abuse page or our support form at soundfox.ai/support/ticket, or by email at legal@soundfox.ai. For privacy or data-protection concerns, contact privacy@soundfox.ai.
13. Enforcement and consequences
We may review conduct and content for compliance with this AUP and the Terms of Service. Where we reasonably believe this AUP has been broken, we may, in line with Section 15 of the Terms of Service and applicable law: remove or disable access to content; issue a warning; limit, suspend, or terminate access to the Services or an account; preserve information and report unlawful activity to the authorities; and take any other action that is reasonable and proportionate. Where you are a consumer, this does not affect your non-waivable statutory rights, and we will act proportionately.
14. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time, for example to address new features, risks, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, give notice as described in Section 19 of the Terms of Service.
